Nach einigen Tagen der Funkstille haben wir wieder Netz. Daher jetzt einige Impressionen der vergangenen Tage.
Wir fahren tief ins Innere des Regenwaldes . Ca. 150km NW von Jambi
Ein Käfig inmitten des Waldes. Hier werden die Orang-Utan über Monate hinweg wieder an ihre natürliche Umgebung gewöhnt.
Viele Affen wurden illegal in menschlicher Obhut aufgezogen. Jetzt müssen sie lernen im Urwald zu überleben. 
Orangs brauchen sehr viel Zuwendung. Über Jahre hinweg bleiben sie in Kontakt mit ihrer Mutter. Diese Emotionalität ist wichtig für ihre Entwicklung. Der Orang-Utan braucht ca. 8-9 Jahre bis er sich selbstständig im Wald zurechtfindet. Ich bin überrascht wie aufwändig der Auswilderungsprozess ist. Täglich absolvieren die Affen ein Trainingsprogramm in freier Wildbahn und erst nach längerer Zeit sind sie reif für ein Leben in Ihrem natürlichen Umfeld.
Nach dem Training im Wald geht es zurück in die Station. Zum ersten Mal laufe ich im Huckepack mit Jackie (4 Jahre) durch den Urwald. Es erinnert mich an meine Kinder als sie klein waren. Ziel des Programms ist am Ende die Entwöhnung vom Menschen – für beide Seiten eine Herausforderung….
Die Vielfalt und Schönheit des Urwalds ist magisch. Alleine die Zahl der verschiedenen Baum- und Straucharten ist extrem hoch. Während einer Drehpause kühlen wir uns im Fluss ab.
Die Schönheit des Urwaldes ist unbeschreiblich!!
Reise zu den Talang – Mamak, den Ureinwohnern des Waldes. Nach langer Fahrt sind wir alle erschöpft und werden die Nacht auf dieser Veranda verbringen…. 
Der nächste Morgen nach einer fast schlaflosen Nacht… Blutegel, Moskitos & Co. 
Dreharbeiten bei 34 Grad Celsius und hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit sind anstrengend. Oft sind wir nass geschwitzt und dennoch ist Kameramann Tobias immer gut drauf. Fernsehen ist Teamwork und wir haben ein gutes Team!
Besprechung im Busch…: Tonmann Benny und Filmemacher Daniel diskutieren die nächste Szene. (Daniel erinnert mich in seinem Outfit an den Enkel von Che Guevara..;-). )
Wir sind mit Pati verabredet, dem “Häuptling” der Talang Mamak. Bei diesem Volk erlebe ich wie zwei Kulturen aufeinander prallen. Wenn wir vom “Artensterben” sprechen reden wir häufig von Tieren und Pflanzen und selten von Menschen und Kulturen. Mit der massiven Rodung der Regenwälder ist auch der Lebensraum der letzten Ureinwohner bedroht. An den Hütten stehen Satellitenantennen und doch gibt es noch Wurzeln der alten Kultur. 
Pati gibt mir eine Lektion im Wald. Viele Rinden werden als Medizin genutzt, man findet Wasser in Lianen und Nahrungsmittel. Für Pati ist der Wald gleichermaßen Supermarkt, Apotheke und Baumarkt. 
Sammeln von Weihrauch: Das Harz wird später mit Tabak gemischt. Die “Zigaretten” versprühen einen “Kirchenduft”…
Einfache Einrichtung. In den Hütten der Talak-Mamak gibt es wenige Einrichtungsgegenstände. Ich sehe im Wohnzimmer ein Huhn und einen Fernseher. 
Als Aussenstehender macht man sich kaum eine Vorstellung von den weiten Reisewegen. Stundenlange Schaukelei… Manche Pisten sind nur im Trockenen zu befahren. 
Palmölfrucht: Das Öl ist kostbar und verändert das Gesicht der gesamten Insel Sumatra. Der Regenwald wird gerodet und riesige Palmölplantagen überziehen die Insel. Jeder von uns kennt das Öl – von Pizza bis zur Kosmetik. 
Einfalt statt Vielfalt: Palmöl-Plantagen sind Artenarm. Hier finden kaum Tiere eine Lebensgrundlage.

Mein persönlicher Favorit ist Jacki, von Ranga getragen und die nächtlichen Geräusche des Urwalds, da kommt man sofort ins Träumen…….. das Bild mit Sicht auf die staubige Straße erinnert mich ein wenig an Süditalien, wenn man Besuche in den Bergen von Kalabrien unternimmt und von der regulären Straße runter muss, dann sieht es ähnlich aus….da wird man dann richtig rumgeschüttelt …. aber Eure Bilder sind klasse, freu mich schon auf die Reportage !!
